Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Laredo Labs, Inc. ("Laredo Labs," "we," "our," or "us"), doing business as Solver, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website (https://solverai.com), services, applications, and API (collectively, the "Services"). We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your data, especially your source code and intellectual property.
Information We Collect
1. Source Code and Related Data
- Source code submitted to our Services
- Repository access information
- File paths and line numbers
- Vector embeddings derived from source code
2. Account Information
- User authentication credentials
- Version control system (VCS) access tokens
- Account preferences and settings
3. Usage Information
- Service interaction logs
- Performance metrics
- Error reports
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our Services
- Process and complete software development tasks
- Maintain service security and performance
- Respond to support requests
- Analyze service usage and optimize performance
Data Protection and Storage
Source Code Protection
We treat your source code with the same level of sanctity as password data. This fundamental principle guides all our data handling practices:
- Source code is only stored and processed on our secure compute infrastructure or your own customer-controlled compute
- The only exception is when code segments are part of prompts to AI models, and in these cases:
- We exclusively use paid API providers under strict contractual obligations
- These contracts explicitly prohibit training on or observing your inputs
- All providers must maintain the highest privacy standards for model interactions
- We implement end-to-end protection for your intellectual property
- No source code is ever used for training, improvement, or any purpose other than providing you direct service
Data Storage and Technical Safeguards
We've implemented specific technical measures to protect your intellectual property:
- Git repository clones are stored temporarily in secure storage within our cloud infrastructure
- These are automatically deleted when you revoke access
- Access is strictly controlled through your VCS provider's authentication
- Vector embeddings in our self-hosted vector database are designed with privacy in mind:
- We use dense vectors computed using our own embedding model
- The model is specifically trained with contrastive cosine similarity loss, not reconstructive loss
- Only minimal metadata is stored: file paths and integer line offsets
- Any logs that might contain source code:
- Are stored ephemerally and temporarily
- Never reach our telemetry backend
- Are only accessed with your explicit consent for support
- Are automatically purged after a limited time
Access Controls
- Repository access is federally authorized through your VCS provider
- Access is limited to repositories you explicitly grant permission to
- All access is authenticated and logged
Third-Party Services
We use third-party AI model APIs under strict contractual obligations that:
- Prohibit training on customer inputs
- Enforce high privacy standards
- Protect the confidentiality of all submitted data
Data Retention
- Repository clones are retained only while access permissions remain active
- Support logs are retained for a limited time to address potential issues
- Vector embeddings are retained until service termination or explicit removal request
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Request data deletion
- Revoke access permissions
- Receive an explanation of how your data is used
